Home Health Services

Pulse Home Health Care extends the care of your doctors into your own home to ensure the best possible health outcomes. The patients who could benefit from home health are as varied as the patients seen at doctors' offices and hospitals. Examples include people who have chronic diseases with high or low measurements, people who could use help learning a new medication regimen, people returning home from surgery, or people returning home from a mental health stay.

Rifton TRAM Therapy

Rifton TRAM therapy uses a mobility device (the Rifton TRAM) to improve walking, sit-to-stand transfers, and seated transfers. By safely supporting clients, the device reduces fear of falling while they focus on maintaining or relearning ambulation skills.

Palliative Care

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people with serious illness. It focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of serious illness (whatever the diagnosis). The goal is to improve quality of life for both our patients and their families. Pulse's palliative care program works as an alternative or precursor to hospice care. Medicare's hospice benefit requires patients to give up care focused on cure. Hospice patients often lose contact with their trusted doctors. With Pulse's palliative care, patients can choose their doctors without complications and pursue any treatment their doctors recommend. We use your Medicare home health benefit to deliver many of the symptom relief and home support services you might otherwise receive through your hospice benefit, but with fewer limitations. Medicare pays 100% for Pulse's palliative care.

Psychiatric Nursing

In-home psychiatric nursing services are designed for patients suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, depression, and other mental and emotional challenges, who do not require hospitalization but need extra care and attention at home. Pulse Home Health Care‘s psychiatric nursing services are particularly beneficial to the elderly, who are vulnerable to mental and emotional challenges as they cope with illness, aging, and significant life changes, such as the loss of friends and loved ones. Pulse sends registered nurses with special training and experience in psychiatric care to work with patients in the familiar comfort of their own homes, assessing individual needs and working with each patient’s doctor to develop and implement a plan of care. Our psychiatric nurses bring a unique understanding of psychiatric challenges to their care, supporting patients and their families with compassion, dignity, and respect.
